With his peerless technical mastery and intensely expressive playing JANOS STARKER is universally recognized as one of the world's supreme musicians. Throughout his extraordinary career he has appeared as soloist with the most prestigious orchestras around the globe and has become one of the most sought after virtuosi and teachers of our time. After almost five decades of appearing on concert stages world wide, Mr. Starker is now focusing his efforts on teaching. He joined the faculty of the school of Music at Indiana University in 1958 and was the first recipient of the Tracy M. Sonneborn Award. This he conducts numerous master classes and gives lectures in the US and Europe, and is honored with a doctorate by the New England Conservatory. Amassing an extensive discography of more than 165 works, he has re-recorded the Bach Suites for BMG's RCA Victor Red Seal label, a release which won a Grammy Award for the best instrumental solo performance in 1998. Mr. Starker continues as professor at Indiana University, where he holds the title of Distinguished Professor.

Winner of the 2003 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, the ENSO STRING QUARTET is quickly becoming on of America's leading young ensembles. Highlights of the 2004-05 engagements include performances at the Kennedy Center and the Green Lake Festival, in Panama, Canada and France. Recent concerts include a New York debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In 2004, they recorded all the six quartets of Ignaz Pleyel released on two CD's by Naxos label. In addition, the quartet is committed to bringing classical music to the community, and offers numerous programs for children, emphasizing interaction between musicians and audience. The group performs extensively in texas schools under the auspices of the Houston Friends of Music. The quartet members hold degrees from the Juilliard school, Curtis Institute, Royal Northern College of Music (UK) and the University of Canterbury (New Zealand).
