Young Artists Program Application

 

 

 

 

 

Application Deadlines:

  • Performers, Active Observers, and General Observers: February 18, 2013, online (worldwide)
  • All tuition, Cliburn tickets, and accommodation payments must be completed by March 11, 2013

Performers: (Pianists born on or after July 1, 1985)

 

Young Artist Performers should submit an on-line application. All files will be uploaded during time of application. Before starting application, prepare the following:

 

     1. Application fee: $80 (payable by credit or debit card)

          -Application fee is non-refundable and will not be used toward the cost of housing or tickets

          -After completing the online application, proceed to the payment form to pay your application fee.

     2. Biography

          -Updated biography in English prose describing past music experience

     3. High-resolution publicity photo (uploaded online)

          -jpg, eps, tiff or psd (at a resolution of at least 300 dpi)

          -Upload on the online application along with your list of repertoire and audition video.

     3. List of repertoire studied in last three years

          -Please upload on the online application along with your photo and audition video.

     4. List of repertoire you will play at PianoTexas

          -two substantial solo works for master classes

          -one complete concerto from the concerto list

          -(optional) additional pieces for public performances (limited to 10 minutes in length)

     5. Two Letters of Recommendation from your teacher and a distinguished artist

     6. Audition Recording Video (uploaded online)

          -Must be recorded within the past year

          -Minimum 20 minutes in length

          -Must include at least a movement from a Classical sonata and a Romantic work

 

 

Remember that your application is a representation of yourself and your musical ability.
Applications which demonstrate professional image and conduct will receive priority in admission and scholarship consideration.

Active and General Observers:
