Performers: (Pianists born on or after July 1, 1986) 

 

Young Artist Performers should submit an on-line application. All files will be uploaded during time of application. Before starting application, prepare the following: 

 

 

1. Application fee: $80 (payable by credit or debit card)           

-Application fee is non-refundable and will not be used toward the cost of housing          

 

2. Video Recording uploaded online through the PianoTexas Application Form (1GB maximum per file)         

-Must be recorded within the past year          

-Minimum 20 minutes in length          

-Must include at least a movement from a Classical sonata or concerto  
and a Romantic work 

 

IMPORTANT: The selection of the 24 invited performers is based on the quality of your 
performance and of the recording. All identification will be removed from  
the recording so the jury members will base their ecision on your performance.

 

 

3. Biography (uploaded online)

- Updated biography in English prose describing past music experiences

 

 4. High-resolution publicity photo (uploaded online)

- jpg, eps, tiff or psd (at a resolution of at least 300 dpi)

 

 5. List of repertoire you will prepare for PianoTexas

- solo repertoire including one Mozart work for the master classes

- one complete Mozart concerto from the concerto list provided

- a Mozart chamber music work (optional)

 

6.  Permission from your teacher to participate in PianoTexas  

 

Remember that your application is a representation of yourself and your musical ability. 
Applications demonstrating a professional image will receive priority for performances,  
and chamber music participation. 

 

Your Application is not complete until all materials are receive
