Application Procedures


1. Application fee $80 (credit or debit card)

Application fee is non-refundable and will not be applied to program fee or housing cost    

2. Recording 

Upload online (5GB size limit) or send a DVD/CD

Both CD and DVD are acceptable. However, DVD is preferred. Good quality recording is strongly advised. Recording should contain at least one piece or two pieces of contrasting styles (solo and/or concerto). Portions of works may be used (e.g. one movement of a sonata). 

Please use FedEx, DHL or USPS Priority Mail Express Internationalâ„¢ service to send your CD or DVD if you are not uploading it online.

3. Biography

Updated biography written in full sentences (please do not use bullet format) including education, profession, musical experiences and hobbies.

4. High-resolution photo

Upload jpg, eps, tiff or psd (resolution at least 300 dpi).

5. Repertoire

For concerto competition, please choose one from the concerto list Total time limit for concerto is 18 minutes. For example, you may choose two movements from the same concerto if the total time does not exceed 18 minutes. Similarly, any single movement exceeding this time limit may not be chosen.

Please submit repertoire for your master class. Both solo and concerto are permissible.   Please submit repertoire for the three recitals. Pieces submitted for master classes may also be used for recitals. However, please limit recital pieces to no more than 12 minutes for each performance. Exception can only be made in the case of a first movement of a sonata or concerto that is longer than 12 minutes. Playing from memory in concerto, master class and recitals is not required.
