Application Procedures

Performers (born on or after July 1, 1987)

1. Application fee $80 (credit or debit card)    

 Application fee is non-refundable and will not be applied to program fee or housing cost  

2. Audition Recording

Upload video recording online (5GB size limit) 

Must be recorded within the past 12 months   

Minimum 20 minutes in length   

You may submit as many pieces as you wish, but must include a classical sonata or concerto (one movement is acceptable) plus a romantic work.

IMPORTANT: Please submit the highest quality recording, as it will affect your chance of acceptance. 

3. Biography

Updated biography written in full sentences (please do not use bullet format) including education, musical experiences and hobbies.

4. High-resolution publicity photo

Upload jpg, eps, tiff or psd (resolution at least 300 dpi)

5. Repertoire

Choose one complete concerto from the concerto list

Submit a maximum of four substantial works, including at least one Chopin. The Executive Director will select three works from your list for the master classes. Concertos can be included.

Please submit repertoire for the three recitals. Pieces submitted for master classes may also be used for recitals. However, please limit recital pieces to no more than 12 minutes for each performance. Exception can only be made in the case of a first movement of a sonata or concerto that is longer than 12 minutes.

6. Permission from your teacher to participate in PianoTexas

 (Please note: your application is not complete until all materials are received.)
