Young Artists Program Application

Before clicking on the Application Form please read the following:

Application Procedures

All applications must be completed online.

Performers (born on or after June 1, 1988)

1. Application fee $100 (credit or debit card)           
Application fee is non-refundable and will not be applied to program fee or accommodation cost        
2. Audition Recording (only video recordings are acceptable)
Upload video recording online 
Must be recorded within the past 12 months         
Minimum 20 minutes in length
You may submit as many pieces as you wish, but must include a classical sonata or concerto (one movement is acceptable) plus a romantic work.
IMPORTANT: Please submit the highest quality video recording, as it will affect your chance of acceptance. 
3. Biography
Updated biography written in full sentences (please do not use a bullet format) including education, musical experiences and hobbies.
4. High-resolution publicity photo
Upload jpg, eps, tiff or psd (resolution at least 300 dpi)
5. Repertoire
If you intend to participate in the concerto competition, select one of the complete concertos from the concerto repertoire list.
Submit a minimum of four substantial works, including at least one Brahms or Schumann. The Executive Director will select three works from your list for the master classes. Concertos may be included as long as they are not selected for the concerto competition.
Submit repertoire to perform in the recitals presented by the Festival. Pieces submitted for master classes may be used for these recitals. However, the repertoire for these recitals should not exceed 12 minutes each.
6. Permission from your teacher to participate in PianoTexas  
We request that you have your teacher’s permission to participate; however, we rely on your honesty when you state in the application that you obtained this.
