Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Miguel Harth-Bedoya
Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU
Rehearsal: Sunday, June 16 – 1:00 to 3:30 pm
The experience of performing with an orchestra is exhilarating and rewarding. PianoTexas is
one of the very few International Programs to feature amateurs in a public concert
with a major professional orchestra. Although participation in the Concerto Experience
is not mandatory, we encourage amateur performers to take advantage of this rare opportunity.
Memorization is optional.
The beautiful Van Cliburn Concert Hall with its superb acoustics will be the home
of the Teachers/Amateurs Concerto Competition and Winners Concert.
A Concerto Competition will be organized on June 9 to select performers for the Concerto
Winners Concert. Rehearsals with the second piano will be arranged.

NEW FOR THE 2024 PIANOTEXAS:
Maestro Miguel Harth-Bedoya will give a presentation on the “Art of Concerto Performance”.
This is a superb opportunity to understand how a piano concerto is viewed from the
perspective of the conductor and how the soloist should prepare the totality of the
score.
